”Unwearable" fashion by Paco Rabanne
In 1966, Paco Rabanne presented his "12 unwearable dresses in contemporary materials". His visionary designs left an indelible mark on the world, revolutionising women's fashion through the use of moulded plastic, hammered metal and even aluminium jersey.
In 1967, singer Françoise Hardy was pictured wearing a dress made from gold plates, in an image that sums up the Space Age vibe of an entire decade.
Composed of 367 hand-assembled discs, the Julien Dossena reissue of the 1969 bag features a lighter aluminium structure, but is still just as crammed with style. A work of art worthy of exhibition.
