Destree
The very cosmopolitan Destrée is one of those conceptual brands known for the power of their intellect. Founded in Paris in 2016 by Géraldine Guyot and Laeticia Lumbroso, Destrée is shaped by the arts - contemporary in particular. While it exudes the sophistication of Paris, the label has a certain British spice – probably due to the fact that its designer Géraldine Guyot studied at the famous Central Saint Martins, a benchmark in the fashion industry. Timeless yet spontaneous, Destrée upholds a modern femininity that is both elegant and relaxed, luxurious yet modest. It all started with hats, but the brand quickly expanded its offering with handbags then ready-to-wear. With every collection, its clean, understated aesthetic never fails to impress. Understated but never boring, this highly creative brand reflects its creator's passion for contemporary art; a passion that comes through in its accessories, too. The colour combinations are surprising, and clean lines draw geometric shapes, while materials are layered and unexpectedly complex.
Destrée’s USP comes from its use of noble materials, assembled and embellished thanks to European craftsmanship and designed in rich colours and asymmetrical shapes. Wife of influential businessman Alexandre Arnault, Guyot strives to emancipate women, freeing them from overly classic accessories that lack inspiration and verve. She brings them a revolution in her own calm and measured way. Unique and irreverent, just like those who wear them, the Raymond caps and patchwork-style bucket hats play on the two-tone vibe. The jewellery is equally surprising: the elegant Elizabeth necklace mixes up the genres, while the Sonia earrings are made of semi-precious stones in various colours and shapes. A signature piece of the Destrée wardrobe is the Albert bag, designed to make a statement with its daring asymmetrical shape, reinterpreted in various shades and finishes. Adding a layered piece of leather, geometric stitching or a circular leather panel, the Albert always has something to say. We also love the Sol totes and Gunther bags, for a beautifully elegant feel.
