Coperni
Born in 2013, Coperni has established itself as one of its generation's most iconic labels thanks to its linear, sculptural and unprecedented approach to fashion. The sporty yet feminine silhouettes imagined by Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant make the Coperni look truly unique and easy to spot in a crowd. Their recognition at the Creative Label Prize, awarded by ANDAM in 2014, and highlighting the brand's creativity and potential, was clearly just the beginning, an early sign of (extraordinary) things to come for Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant.
From the roof of the Tour Montparnasse to an Arena redesigned as a drive-in, allowing guests to view the collection in the midst of the COVID pandemic, Coperni catwalks are widely known for always creating surprise – and causing a stir on social media. Like the bags re-imagined in hand-blown glass and 18 carat gold, a catwalk show set in the halls of Euphoria High, and a certain Bella Hadid on whom a dress was spray-painted live on stage using a next-generation organic liquid fibre. All of which is testament to their tireless innovation and inspiration, backed by a cutting-edge fashion culture and an innate sense of the theatrical.
Echoing Coperni's clean, sporty lines, the House's iconic bag, the Swipe, is constantly reinvented and experimented upon, with each version more addictive than the last. Whether covered in rhinestones, in animal print, in a mini or cross-body version, Baguette or Ring, the designer pair have succeeded in creating a bag so iconic and surprising that the possibilities are seemingly endless. The Swipe is the perfect reflection of the Coperni aesthetic, captivating yet relatable thanks to its sense of minimalist style.
Has the Coperni fantasy got under your skin? You're not alone. From Rihanna to Kylie Jenner, via Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, and more. All the biggest fashion influencers swear by Coperni and its sulphurous creations. With its balaclavas, shoes, Heart Tote and Origami bags, Coperni has plenty more surprises in store.
